What's in the box?

All of our earrings are shipped on a recyclable, sustainable, chlorine-free earring card inside a decorated burlap bag, and then packed inside a recyclable cardboard box. Necklaces are shipped on a recyclable card as well. The box will also include a thank you card with a discount code and your packing slip. Everything is then nestled among a few biodegradable packing peanuts to keep it secure during transit!

What's with the burlap bag?

We choose to ship our jewelry in burlap bags rather than standard jewelry boxes because we hope that you will reuse this bag for something new! You can continue to store your jewelry inside of it or use it to carry around other things. Burlap is a very strong material and can be used over and over again. Additionally, burlap is one of the most sustainable natural products - it is biodegradable, compostable, and recyclable. 

How can I get rid of these packing peanuts?

Great question! Standard packing peanuts are traditionally made from Styrofoam, which makes them almost impossible to break down - it can take up to 500 years for them to decompose! Our packing peanuts are biodegradable and made from organic materials. To dispose of your packing peanuts, simply place them in the sink and run water over them. Use your fingers to dissolve the peanuts until they are completely gone. Or save them to use yourself when shipping something fragile! You can also throw them in the trash or recycling bin, but dissolving them is much more fun.

What should I do with all this paper and the box?

Recycle it! All the papers you find in the box can be recycled. Both the branded tape used to seal the cardboard box and the shipping label can be left on the box and easily recycled along with it. However, first please take note of the discount code found on the contact / thank you card!
